Vox populi, vox dei

HDP 018
Every day at 6am, those speakers broadcast some local news, classifieds and songs. Oh, and pay no attention to the wires, you’ll just get used to it after a while!

  • OMG, hahahaha! Our wires are just as tangled as these! Thank goodness there are no speakers though!

I posted one back in March in A tangled mess, but it was only of a pole in a residential neighborhood. I have yet to take a photo of a pole in a commercial area. 😉

  • As Hilda said, we have those tangled wires too. I use to be all annoyed at it wondering why they let it all out when they could probably reduce the eyesore by hiding it somewhere. But lately I have finally accepted those blasted things. even managed to capture it on my camera.

I like knowing about quirks of a city, and this is a nice to know.

  • Hey Hilda, Layrayski, indeed that must be a common trait to quite a number of countries in South-East Asia!
I was thinking the other day that some people coming from Europe must be getting crazy when seeing Hanoi: electricians and driving instructors for instance :).
